Great Performances
Springfield Arts Council
For more than 40 years, The Springfield Arts Council has presented the annual "Summer Arts Festival," providing admission-free concerts, theater and entertainment from mid-June through mid-July at the Turner Pavilion in Veteran's Park in downtown Springfield, Ohio.
The Springfield Arts Council has also been the area leader for over 30 years in bringing first-class Broadway and national touring attractions to the community with its "Broadway and Beyond Series."
The Council’s "Arts in the Classroom" program adds value to school arts curriculum and helps to build future arts audiences by annually providing professional performing artists to area schools.
In addition, the Springfield Arts Council’s outreach efforts, including the "Creative Connections Series" presented with The Heritage Center, "The Costume Collection," and partnerships with Center City Association’s "Holiday in the City" and the City of Springfield’s "CultureFest," strengthen the Council’s mission “to build a better community by sharing the performing arts with all citizens of the Springfield and Clark County, Ohio community.”
