Heritage Center of Clark County

Located in historic downtown Springfield and built in 1890, the facility extends an entire city block and is now home to Clark County’s "Smithsonian." Inside, you’ll find a research library and archives, museum, exhibition hall, and gift shop.

The spectacular City Building and Market, a Richardsonian Romanesque masterpiece by local architect Charles A. Cregar, is now home to the Heritage Center of Clark County. This history museum and archive opens a window on seven generations of local and national history. The museum assembles priceless artifacts into exhibits interpreting America’s fascinating story.
