Ohio's Historic National Road
Route 40 was recently designated as an All-American Road. The National Road runs straight through the heart of Springfield with many historical stops along the way, including a number of structures originally built to accommodate travelers in Conestoga wagons. Some of the attractions you might find along the way are Madonna of the Trail, Pennsylvania House, the Heritage Center and Buck Creek State Park.
